A smooth lawn is easier to mow and will look more symmetrically cut. Level ground is needed to get that crisp, professionally maintained look. Periodic rolling will get the lawn back to the way it should be.

Lawn Roller Equipment
Hoelscher Commercial PT roller. It's overall width is approximately 64" which allows access into most lawns, but large enough for open acres like, football and soccer fields. The roller's loaded weight is in excess of "1 TON".
